How to Get Sexy Hair 2010

How to Get Sexy Hair 2010

Have you ever wondered how to get beautiful, sexy hair without the use of curling irons, flat irons or a blow dryer You thought it was impossible, right? - Wrong! Read on to find out how to get the sexy hair you've always dreamed of...

Steps

1. Start by washing and conditioning your hair well. This will prep your hair for the products and also discourages frizz and knots (which you definitely don't want for sexy hair!)
2. Towel dry your hair, then leave it in a FRESH hair towel - this way the towels will soak up must of your hair's moisture.
3. Put a little curl defining creme onto your fingertips and rub them together to ensure the creme is evenly distributed.
4. Separate your hair into sections (depending on how thick/long your hair is, and also how big you want your curls to be) and apply the creme, twisting the section away from the parting as you do so. This takes a little practice, so if you prefer, apply the creme all the way through the section then twist it.
5. Do the same for all the other sections.
6. Apply a little hairspray for extra hold to each section, then let your hair dry completely naturally!
7. Look to see that now you should have beautiful, sexy hair! If when your hair is totally dry you have a little unwanted frizz, apply a tiny bit of serum to your hair, following the shape of the curl.

Tips

* It helps if you have naturally quite curly/wavy hair to start with, though this also works with straight hair.
* If your hair is a bit on the fine side, use a voluminizing shampoo and conditioner to give it lots of natural bounce!
* Side bangs also look really cute with this look - try to curl them very slightly outwards at the ends, which can also be done with a little bit of curl cream.

Warnings

* You could have trouble with this if your hair is VERY straight - be happy with your hair and embrace the straightness! (remember thousands of people use flat irons every day to get hair like yours...)

Things You'll Need

* Shampoo + Conditioner (preferably voluminizing)
* Curl Creme
* Hairspray
* Serum (optional)

The Best Hairstyle for Your Body Shape 2010

Haircut Styles presents The Best Hairstyle for Your Body Shape

The right hair can truly make all the difference in how beautiful you look and feel. In fact, your whole body’s appearance can be greatly enhanced by choosing a haircut that works with your figure. The best way to do this is to have a hairstylist examine your ‘do before you sit down in the chair. However, you can go into the salon with some ideas ready for what cuts will flatter your figure.

For example, those who are petite look best with short or medium hairstyles. These lengthen your figure and draw eyes upwards, while a longer ‘do would make you seem smaller. Additionally, hair with angles and layers that add some volume can complement your body size. Also, try to choose a mature, professional cut that will help you look your age. For those women with a full-figured body, a layered, medium-length cut can be slimming and flattering. Bangs can also help soften a round face and bring attention back to your beautiful features. Those who have a tall, straight body shape can wear the widest variety of cuts. However, you may want to avoid cropped, boyish cuts as these can seem particularly unfeminine on those people lacking curves.

All Haircut Styles presents Fringe Hairstyles - Fall 2010

Haircut Styles presents Fringe Hairstyles - Fall 2010

Adding bangs is one of the simplest ways to redefine and enhance your hairstyle. However, not all bangs are created equal. One of the most popular options today is the fringe look. Fringe bangs hang straight down the forehead as opposed to being angled or parted to the side. They look best on ‘dos with a center part, and are a great way to soften facial features.

Fringe Hair

In fact, many people with long foreheads find that fringe bangs can completely transform their look. As for the length, fringe bangs vary greatly, but the sexiest styles feature bangs that hang at least to the eyebrows. Fringe styles also vary between a single length, and bangs that hang longer at the sides than in the middle.

Fringe Hair

Many celebrities sport fringe bangs, adding to the popularity of the look. Some of the most notable fringe-wearing stars have included Jennifer Aniston and Anne Hathaway. Although most fringe bangs are seen on those with straight hair, they can also be adapted to curly or wavy styles. Fringe bangs can also be colored with highlights through a “hair painting” technique. However, they create a more dramatic effect on hair that is all one shade.

Bridesmaid Hairstyle Latest Trends
Thus, the task of choosing a bridesmaid’s hairstyle is an important one. Each member of the bridal party needs to look her best, without becoming so extravagant as to overpower the bride herself. This ultimately depends on what the bride chooses for her own hair.
Bridesmaid Hairstyle Latest Trends
If the bride chooses a simple updo, the bridesmaids’ hair should remain fairly simple. However, if the bride has chosen a more extravagant look, the bridesmaids’ hair can be styled in a more complex fashion. Additionally, all the bridesmaids should match each other in some way, while taking into consideration each woman’s unique haircut and texture.
Bridesmaid Hairstyle Latest Trends
A great way to do this is to choose a simple accessory that matches the bridesmaids’ gowns and that each one can easily wear. Some options for this are gemstone pins or thin headbands. Tiaras and other flashy accessories should be avoided, as these are traditionally reserved for the bride herself. Ultimately, bridesmaids can wear their hair in any of the many formal styles suggested for proms, dances, and other formal affairs. The key is for those planning the wedding to take all of the above factors into consideration before planning the bridal party’s ‘dos.

Using Hair Extensions

Haircut Styles presents Hair Extensions

For those who desire long, luscious hair, but don’t want to wait months for their locks to grow, hair extensions can be the perfect solution. The first thing to consider when you decide to get these additional pieces is what kind of hair extension suits you best. Although there are many kinds of hair extensions available, two types stand out as the most popular options among stylists. First, there are individual strand extensions.

This involves taking small sections of natural or artificial hair and fusing it to your own hair through weaving, gluing, or heat fusion. These types of hair extensions can last for several months and are considered semi-permanent. In contrast, a more immediate option is to use clip-in hair extensions. Many of these can be applied simply on your own without the aid of a professional stylist. However, clip in extensions cannot be left in hair for an extended period of time.

Regardless of what application method you choose, be sure to get extensions that match well with your natural hair. This means choosing the right color and texture so that extensions blend seamlessly. Additionally, consider the type of material you want your extensions made from. The most cosmetically pleasing options are those made from real human hair. However, some synthetic options can look nearly identical to the real thing.

Hairstyles by Age, older women

Older women are constantly looking for a great hairstyle that will make them look elegant and attractive while reflecting their level of maturity. At the same time, they may be forced to content with changes like thinning hair or dried our locks.Don't believe everything you hear out there. Just because you're 65, you don't have to immediately sign up for a helmet hairstyle. In fact, a younger look and lighter color can take years off your face. And just because you're 21, you don't have to have long hair. You can do just about anything. Find out what you can really get away with at age 20, 30, 40 and older.
Blythe Danner looks amazing in her 60s

Shorter looks also look chic and mature without looking “old.” Plus, a short ‘do with long bangs can help mask wrinkles on the forehead. For those with fuller hair, volume should be cherished and embraced. Styles that are fuller at the crown look mature and professional, while still keeping a sexy air of femininity. The best cuts are those that are full at the top and come down around the face in framing layers. This helps soften your facial features and can take attention away from any noticeable lines and wrinkles.

Your 40s
Believe it or not, you don't have to go short in your 40s. In these years, your personality might drive your hairstyle. If you ooze sexuality, go for a long, sexy waves. Funky and athletic? Opt for a short, sleek look that is as befitting to a 20-year-old as you. My friend, Nia, who's in her mid-40s, has a haircut that totally fits her funky personality: It's short and a bit spiky. And if you met her, you'd think she's no older than 35.

Take care of your hair. As you age, your hair will tend to get brittle. Treat your locks to a hot-oil treatment once a week and get your hair trimmed every 6 weeks.

Layers are very flattering, flat hair isn't. Give your hair body with layers, no matter your hair length. Go for color. If you're blonde, try highlights. If you have dark hair, go for caramel highlights or go a shade or 2 lighter all over.

Your 50s
Shoulder-length hair is a great option for you. Medium-length hair is very versatile -- it can be worn up or down. You can 'sex it up' with waves or go sleek with a straight-iron. You'll also find it's more flattering than long, flowing hair.

Try layers. Piecey layers around the face are very flattering. Or go one-length with underlayers. This will give hair body and looks great dried under.

Hair that is too styled can make you look dated. Even if hair is short, don't go for a spiky look, instead ask for longer layers. Cut out pictures and bring them to the stylist with you. A lighter color can take years off your face. Ask your stylist what color works best for your skin tone.
Copyright of PR PHOTOS

Your 60s and older Short hairstyles, whether you opt for sweet or spiky, are a great bet for you. They frame your face, showing off and highlighting your best features. You'll be glad to know they are also low-maintenance.

Silver hair can be very sexy. However, not all women embrace their natural hair color. Many women become blondes as they get older, a natural move considering gray is a softer, lighter color than a natural brown. But blonde hair doesn't complement all skin tones. A better bet for naturally dark-haired women is to color your hair a dark base and get lighter highlights.

Skip the old-lady salons where they cut your hair short and give you curls tight to your scalp, spray it into a helmet and send you off on your way until next week. Go to your daughter's salon and ask for a new look. Better yet, take your daughter along and ask her advice.

How to Make Straight Hair Into Afro Hair for Fall 2008

When the seasons change - so does our hair - depending on your naturally curly, coily, kinky, wavy or Afro hair type and/or the part of the world in which you live.

If you want that full, wavy look, you need to sleep in braids overnight but if you want a thicker, bigger look, you will need additional styling tools and should follow the entire set of steps.

Steps How to Make Straight Hair Into Afro Hair:

1. First grow your hair out.
2. Start with wet hair if possible. Comb hair up and outward so it gets body.
3. Braid your hair into six or eight sections.
4. Sleep in the braids overnight to get the best look.
5. Unbraid your hair when you get up in the morning. Bend over and tousle your hair with your fingers.
6. Divide each of the six or eight sections into four individual sections with a rat-toothed comb. Do this one section at a time.
7. With each of the four "mini" sections, backcomb(tease) your hair gently until you achieve your desired Afro, or at least wavy hair.

Tips How to Make Straight Hair Into Afro Hair

If your braid is more than a half inch thick, you need to section off your hair in smaller widths.
If you want the "cornrow look," you need to section off your hair into smaller sections and French braid them. If you choose to use products, try to use natural ones that won't damage your hair.Make sure hair completely dries before taking out braids.

If you are caucasian, asian, european, or non-native australian/new zealander take extra care with cornrows!! You do not have enough sebum coming out of your scalp to do it safely naturally, you need to smear grease (such as an oil or jojoba), and quite a bit, in order to be safe! If you do not, your cornrows will contract when you wet them while swimming, out in the rain, or bathing/showering. This can lead to severe skin irritation and in extremely rare cases your scalp tearing. Don't experiment with products you are unsure of.

Healthy Hair Basics Tips

Haircut Styles presents Basics for Healthy Hair

Healthy hair works from the inside out. That means, if you want to have great locks, you have to start with good nutrition. Ample protein, fresh produce, and water are the keys to getting great looking hair. Vitamin E is also great for a healthy shine. So, try to add some whole grains or nuts into your diet as well. Once you’ve built a foundation of hair-healthy food, caring for your strands is the next step in keeping them healthy.

Healthy Hair
Healthy Hair Tips 2008:
Washing your hair regularly is important, but over-washing can ruin a healthy head of hair. For most people, washing every two to three days is plenty. Also, choosing the right shampoo and conditioner for your hair is important. This all depends on the type of hair you have, so you will need to get familiar with hot moist, thick, and wavy your locks are. Need help deciding what’s best? Consult a stylist for a second opinion.

The same is true when styling hair. You need to choose the right products for your locks. Finally, over doing it with heating appliances, like a blow drier, can fry strands. This is one of the most common ways women ruin their hair. So, use a heat protecting product and keep your appliances on the lowest setting possible. If you follow these tips, you are sure to have healthy hair for years to come.

Short or Long Hair?

Are you considering cutting your hair short? Before you take the plunge, it’s important to know whether short or long hair is right for you. The first thing you need to consider is how attached you are to your long locks. If your emotional bond to your hair is a strong one, you may not be happy when it gets cut off. However, if you decide you can handle the change, the next thing to look at is your face structure.

This is actually the most important consideration when choosing a hair length. The shape of your face plays a big part in what length hair suits you best. People who have a square shaped face tend to find that short cuts do not flatter them. Also, people with round faces benefit from having extra height at the crown. They can still go short, but should be wary of cuts that are flat. Finally, those with longer faces actually look better with shorter hair, but their face can look awkward if the cut is overly cropped. So, once you’ve checked out your face shape, the last thing to think about is your lifestyle. Do you have enough time to take care of long hair each day? Are you willing to get your short cut trimmed frequently? These are questions to think about as they will affect how well you maintain your look.

How to Enhance the Beauty of Your Hair

Haircut styles presents How to Enhance the Beauty of Your Hair

How to Enhance the Beauty of Your Hair. Hair is an important part of what makes our appearance and builds our personality. The hair is directly affected by stress, poor diet and genetic factors, which can encourage thinning and baldness with age in both men and women. Here are a few tips and suggestions on how to care for your care for your hair in order to obtain the hair beauty and texture you desire. What Is Your Hair Type?

There are four main types of hair and they are: dry, oily, normal and limp with a variety of texture that can either be frizzy and hard to manage or silky and luxurious depending on how you care for it. The care you apply should meet to requirements of your hair directly. For example if you have thin, limp hair that has been colored you will need moisturizing shampoo with a color protecting conditioner and a volume building mousse to apply directly on your hair before you blow dry it.
Hair Beauty Comes from Within

Remember that stress affects your hair directly. Not only that, but your hair growth, texture and appearance will be reflected by your diet and intake of proper vitamins and minerals. Stress and sudden grief as well as poor diet will reflect on your hair in approximately three months when you will experience sudden excessive hair loss and even balding.

While you cannot ensure that you will be stress free always, you need to maintain your hair beauty by eating right and if that too is not possible all the time you should take vitamins and supplements for your hair's benefits. If you are pregnant and/or are going through a rough time take extra supplements for your hair and your hair beauty will survive such patches.

Finding the Right Hair Beauty Products

Your hair stylist is probably the best person to approach for advice on getting the right hair beauty products for you. Firstly, your hair stylist knows your hair's requirements and secondly he or she may have just the hair beauty products you are looking. This is because if you want to achieve the salon look at home then you might as well use professional styling products as your hair stylist does.
Helpful Tips

Wash your hair three times a week; always use a conditioner and if you are too lazy to do that ensure that your shampoo includes one. Hair beauty and growth will depend directly on the care you take of your hair, the products you use and the diet and vitamins you take.

Haircut styles: Hair Conditioning Tips

Haircut styles presents Hair Conditioning Tips 2008

Hair conditioning should be done according the texture of hair. While dry and frizzy hair requires more conditioning, straight and oily hair would hardly require any conditioning. Healthy hair is dependent on the diet, health, climatic conditions and genetic makeup of a person. For thousands of years, natural oils such as olive oil, jojoba oil, tea tree oil and coconut oil have been used to oil and condition hair.

Today there are many conditioners apart from the natural oils that are available in the market, that can be used to nourish and condition the hair. There are several types of hair conditioners available in the market such as pack conditioners, hold conditioners and leave in conditioners. They serve various purposes. Pack conditioners are heavy and thick and are able to glue the hair structure together.

Hold conditioners are used to hold the hair in the desired look and hairstyle. They are usually applied to the hair for along time. Leave in conditioners are thinner and contain different surfactants make the hair shinier. They are quite similar to hair gels. Hair conditioners are used for replacing the stripped out sebum from the hair. When hair conditioners are applied, one should wear a hat in the sun for the conditioner to work effectively.

Fringe Hair Tips

Haircut Styles presents Fringe Hair Tips

Fringe hair is very much back in fashion and the look for 2008 as Kate Moss has gone and done the fringe cut. The fringe cut definitely suits those that have oval and even some of those that have round faces. Those who have large and wide foreheads can in fact close the gap with a great fringe. Fringe looks great in any color whether it’s blond, auburn, brown or black.

© Albert L. Ortega / PR Photos

How Fake a Fringe Hairstyle?

1. Take a section of hair from the crown comb it forwards over your forehead and arrange it as you would a fringe.
2. If you have got long hair, twist it to take away the length before taking it forwards. Adjust the width, length and density as required, then clip it securely just above the crown using a large grip. Alternatively, ask your hairstylist to attach a hairpiece.
3. Leave your false fringe for 20 minutes to get used to it before deciding whether it suits you.

Fringes can be worn really sleek, to being soft to a really great tousled (out of the bed look). They can be worn short, chin length and even shoulder length. Don’t however try to create the look from the 1980’s, when the perm was really in as it doesn’t go with the fringe.

© Albert L. Ortega / PR Photos

The blunt fringe is the safest choice for women to wear. Blunt cut thick fringe remains a really popular way to wear the fringe. The pixie look for the fringe is ultra stylish but very boyish cut. This kind of fringe hairstyle needs oodles of confidence to carry off.
