Haircut styles: Shag Haircut and Styles

Haircut styles presents: Shag Haircut and Styles

All the fashionistas, who dare to experiment and believe in keeping in sync with the pulsating upbeat fashion fundas, should opt for the inimitable shag hairstyle. The latest and trendiest hairstyle in the market, shag haircut is suitable for all hair types, except for very thin or thick hair. The ‘out of the bed’ look given by the haircut is highly manageable and intriguing, giving a boost to your carefree attitude. For inspiration and example, consider the hot and fiery look donned by Meg Ryan, owing to her shag hairstyle. So, to flaunt that style icon look, go for the short and medium shag hairstyle and get ready to rock!

Short Shag Hairstyle
A short hairstyle is the wackiest, yet trendy look to be donned. While applying shag hairstyle to short hair, there are more layers cut at the crown of the head rather at the bottom. Keeping the length intact, the shag hairstyle gives a lot of volume to the overall hair. As the hair near the ear are not trimmed, one can easily tuck them behind. However, to make the look more manageable and humane, it is ensured that the farthest layer from the crown is the longest. This provides sleekness and free flow to the hairstyle.
Moreover, to tame this wild look, it can be customized as per your own distinct personality and persona. This includes the amount of layers to be given in your hair, which is quite dependent on the type of hair you have and the shape of your face. To enhance the look, you can get the hair strands on different levels rolled out. This will give you an untamed and jazzy appearance. For adding zing to the overall arrangement, one can even use hair color to highlight the hairstyle.
Medium Shag Hairstyle

Those with medium length hair can opt for this sassy haircut. Though this does not work very well for too curly or frizzy hair, it can be still applied to suit your requirements. For medium hair, there are levels both in the front as well as the back. The ends can be both uneven and tapered or uniformly covering the face, depending upon the look you want to wear. For a messy yet sexy look, those with straight hair can get their hair slightly waved and leave people entangled in charisma. The greatest advantage of this haircut is that it even looks good if the hair length is overgrown.

Afert releasing, he side parted the hair to create bangs, brushing the rest into a ponytail. He then teased sections with hairspray, anchoring them with bobby pins.

Kate Beckinsale

Walking the line between edgy and elegant, this disheveled chignon is the perfect way to soften the look of a structured gown. Abergel gave Beckinsale a center part and misted Frederic Fekkai Coiff Shape & Set Mist onto the roots to add texture. After blow-drying her hair, he used a 2-inch FHI curling iron to twist pieces at random. Next he teased at the crown to build height and gathered it into a low, messy bun, finishing the look with Frederic Fekkai Glossing Sheer Shine Mist.

Haircut styles:Jessica Alba

L.A. stylist Robert Ramos diffused Alba's hair to coax out its natural wave. Next, he gave her a center part, sectioned off hair from either side of the head and French-braided it. He made even smaller plaits from hair at the underside of her head, wrapping them back toward the center and pinning them. "At the back of the head, the braids should be intertwined," he explains.

Haircut styles: Kate Hudson

A low-slung braid paired with polished side bangs exudes unconventional elegance. How to do it? L.A. hairstylist David Babaii blew Hudson's hair straight, smoothing a quarter-size amount of David Babaii for Wildaid Hair Polish from roots to ends. Next, he loosely braided the hair at the nape of the neck and secured it with a clear elastic. Babaii finished the look by running a flat iron through her bangs and sweeping them to the side.

Haircut styles: Penelope Cruz

For this classic half-up look, N.Y.C. stylist Danilo misted a voluminizing spray on Cruz's roots before blowing the hair dry with a mixed bristle brush. To create body and texture, he used a 2-inch curling iron and then set the sections by pin-curling. (Once cool, he released them). Next, he gathered the top half of hair and backcombed to achieve height. He secured this section with a bobby pin and let the rest fall free, taming flyaways.

Then he curled the hair with a 2-inch iron and spritzed it with Fekkai Sheer Hold hairspray. Gathering all of the hair except for the bangs, he wrapped it into a nape-of-the-neck bun, securing it with pins.

Haircut Styles: How to Get Rich Color

Follow these tips and you will definitely get the rich color of the hair that you are looking for! If you are dyeing your own hair, then ensure that you have enough dye. Usually the kits that are available have enough dye to cover shoulder length hair. F you have longer hair, then buy two packs instead of one. At least you won’t run out when you doing the dyeing.

To ensure that you have colored all the strand and the roots go for the professional tools that are used at the salons. The tools that are provided by the kits are pretty flimsy and don’t do a thorough job. Either ask a friend to help you out or get a 3 way mirror when applying the hair color.

Use specially designed shampoos and conditioners for colored hair. Use shampoos that have keratase to get the great deep colors and the bouncy hair. Deep condition your hair at least once a week. Use a professional to give you an oil head massage. This also provides nourishment to the hair. Applying color to curly hair can be quite trouble some since it’s quite porous and absorbs color quickly, dilute the dye to get the achieved look.
